Sylvie Françoise van der Vaart-Meis, is a Dutch actress and
presenter. She is the wife of Dutch footballer Rafael van
der Vaart.
Her relation with footballer Rafael van der Vaart makes
herself more famous as a celebrity especially through the
participation of the Dutch national football team though
their success in Euro 2004 in Portugal.
On June 10, 2005, Sylvie married Rafael van der Vaart. Their
marriage was filmed and dispatched immediately on TV through
SBS with enormous view figures. Rafael and Sylvie moved to
Germany, where Rafael left Ajax Amsterdam to play for German
football club Hamburger SV.
The couple's first child, Dámian Rafael, was born on 28 May
2006.
