Biography |
Stephanie Seymour was born on July 23rd, 1969 in San Diego,
California. Seymour's rise to fame as a model began early on
when she was only 14 years old.
Modeling for local newspapers and department stores in her
San Diego hometown, Stephanie was entered in the Elite Look
of the Year contest and won first place. It was at this
point that the soon to be top model decided to move to New
York.
After having completed odd jobs as a model without much
recognition, Stephanie decide to try and get herself a
spread in the infamous Bunny magazine. It worked considering
she got the job effortlessly.
In March of 1991, Stephanie got her first major break into
modeling whilst in Florida shooting a photo spread for
Play.boy magazine. Only four months after her first child
was born, Stephanie, who was 22 at the time, graced the
cover of Vogue UK.
Stephanie soon became a regular catwalk woman, having
modeled haute couture and prt-a-porter clothing everywhere
from Europe to the United States. In 1993, she appeared in
Playboy's well-known Valentine's issue. By this time,
Stephanie was already involved with notorious rock star Axl
Rose of the heavy metal group Guns 'n' Roses.
After appearing in his music videos "November Rain" and
"Don't Cry", the couple broke up less than a year later, but
Stephanie's recognition had already become enormous and she
began appearing everywhere.
It was in 1994 that Stephanie star began shining
uncontrollably after she did two outstanding photo shoots
for Egoiste and Versace jeans. As well, in her personal
life, Stephanie received much tabloid and media attention
because she was dating famed actor Warren Beatty.
Also in 1994, Stephanie began doing shoots for both
Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issues.
It was a busy year for her considering she even gave birth
two her second baby boy.
Stephanie has appeared on a multitude of magazine covers
including; Cosmopolitan (1990, 1995, 1997); Vogue UK (1991,
1994); Vogue US (1994, 1995); Self (December 1994); GQ
(1996); "W" (September 98); and Allure (September 98).
In October 1998, Stephanie released a book entitled
Stephanie Seymour's Beauty for Dummies, which was published
by ICD Publishing. As the title reveals, in it, she reveals
her own beauty secrets, as well as world's top beauty
artists'.
Standing tall at 5'10", Stephanie is still one of the top
models in the world, having appeared on hundreds of magazine
covers. Even today, she represents some of the top companies
in the world including Chanel, Versace, and L'Oreal as well
as still appearing on the catwalks.
Married since July 1995 to Peter Bryant, Stephanie has three
boys named Dylan Thomas (born in 1991), Peter (born in
1994), and Harry (born in 1996). She resides in Connecticut
and spends her summers with her family in the Hamptons.
Although Stephanie's family takes up a lot of her time, she
still finds the energy to do magazine shoots and walk the
runway on occasion. More recently, she appeared in a live
action video game called Hell with Dennis Hopper. In it, she
plays a hologram that aids you throughout the game. |
