Biography |
Michelle Lombardo was born in Glastonbury,
Connecticut, to parents Peter and Janice Lombardo on
September 16, 1983.
A born athlete, she was the captain of her volleyball team
at Glastonbury High School. Michelle attended the University
of Connecticut for a year before deciding to take the plunge
and head West. Her goal was to find her fortune in Los
Angeles, in the lucrative world of modeling and acting.
Far from being born with a silver spoon in her mouth,
Michelle did what countless others have done when attempting
to break into the industry; she got a waitressing gig. Not
exactly the most glamorous job, but fortunately for
Michelle, she wouldn’t be serving food for long.
At age 20, Michelle got her big break by winning the
inaugural Sports Illustrated Fresh Faces modeling contest in
2004, beating out nearly 2,000 contestants. This win got her
a three-year, $75,000 modeling contract with Next Model
Management and a 2004 Nissan 350 Z Roadster. She also had a
nice spread in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which
she followed up with a second spread in the 2005 issue.
With a naturally athletic (and curvy) body, Michelle
realized the challenges she faced trying to make it as a
runway model and opted to pursue other opportunities. ”I’m
not the waif. My butt was always a little too big and my
chest was always a little too large.”
Fortunately, Michelle’s “challenges” would not prove to be a
major obstacle for her foray into acting. She was featured
in a clever ad for the Suzuki Forenza in which she strips
down in an elevator and changes into her workout gear in
front of her shocked colleagues.
From there, Michelle nabbed roles in a few indie flicks --
Dishdogz (2005) and All In (2006) -- before scoring a role
as a secretary/mistress for both David Hasselhoff and Adam
Sandler in the comedy Click (2006).
Michelle was also cast in the 2007 crime drama, Machine,
helmed by first-time writer/director Michael Lazar. |
