Biography |
Margarita Levieva was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She
moved to the United States at a young age and attended high
school in Secaucus, New Jersey. Before moving to the United
States and becoming an actress, she was a gymnast. At the
early age of 3 years old, she began the rigorous training
program of a competitive gymnast. As a member of the Russian
rhythmic gymnastics Olympic team, Levieva continued to train
for the next 13 years, winning competitions in Russia and
eventually going on to compete in the United States.
When she was 11, Levieva’s mother moved her and her twin
brother to New York. She later studied economics at NYU. Her
true passion, however, had always been acting and she was
accepted into the Meisner Training Program at the
prestigious William Esper Studio.
Levieva was a star in the Fox series, Vanished. Her previous
credits include guest appearances on Law & Order: Trial by
Jury in 2005. She was also cast in the pilots: N.Y. 70 in
2005, and The Prince in 2006. Her feature film credits
include The Invisible, the independent film Billy's Choice,
and Noise starring Tim Robbins, Bridget Moynahan, and
William Hurt.
In 2005, New York Magazine featured Levieva as one of the 50
Most Beautiful People in New York. |
