Biography |
Iselin Steiro is a Norwegian
supermodel. She grew up in Harstad in the northern part of
Norway. Iselin was discovered in 1999 while Christmas
shopping with her parents in London. In fact, she was
scouted twice on the same trip. The first scout was turned
down by her mother who answered "over my dead body", when
asked if Iselin would be interested in modeling. The second
scout sent a letter to a local agency in Norway, which
sought her up in Harstad. After her father went with her to
one of her first jobs, he gave the "OK". She started to
model "high fashion" in 2003, and walked for Prada and
Calvin Klein in her first season.
She lived in New York for two years, where she modelled full
time, but has now moved back to Norway, where she is to
start at University. She is represented by Women Model
Management in New York, Paris and Milan, and FM in London.
Her mother agency is Team Models in Oslo, Norway.
She is among the most sought after models in the world and
regularly does editorials for magazines including Numèro,
French Vogue, Vogue Italia and Harper's Bazaar. Her covers
include French, Flair, Korean Harper's Bazaar, Vogue Italia,
and several Norwegian magazines. She works with world famous
photograpers as Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, Mario Sorrenti,
David Sims, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, Paolo Roversi,
Sølve Sundsbø, Mikael Jansson and Camilla Åkrans.
She has campaigned brands including Adidas, Benetton, Paul
and Joe, Aquascutum, Jil Stuart, Hugo Boss Orange Label,
Just Cavalli, Balenciaga, Gucci (3 campaigns), D&G, Dolce &
Gabbana, Loewe (2 campaigns), Versace and Chanel. She is
currently (SS07) the face of Valentino, Loewe, Lancome, TSE
and Time. Next fall (FW07) she will represent Blumarine and
TSE in their main campaigns.
Steiro is planning to start her studies at some Norwegian
university in the autumn of 2007. She will continue to model
and do "especially interesting jobs" in addition to being a
student. Iselin is currently dating Greek model Chris
Glavaris. |
