Biography |
Born on September 30, 1978, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Candice
Beckman is of Panamanian and German origin. After moving to
Los Angeles at the age of 19, she adopted her new surname
with dreams of beginning a professional model. She had at
least one step up on the competition: Candice was a fitness
nut who could already boast a sculpted bod as an adolescent.
With the help of such agencies as Brand Model and Talent
Agency and Pacific Talent & Models, Michelle was able to
score some decent modeling and acting jobs early in her
career. Highlights included work for Flex, Hot Rod, Max
Muscle, and Low Rider magazines, as well as a cover feature
for Mini Truckin'. She also held down appearances on such TV
series as Party of Five and 7th Heaven.
This double-threat beauty continued her balancing act
between modeling and acting, padding her resume with
promotional gigs for Miller Lite, Bacardi and Prolab
Nutritional Supplements, and runway work for Elizabetta
Rogiani Beverly Hills and Marva Sew Industries.
Candice was also slowly working her way up as an actress,
though it was obvious why she was chosen for some of her
roles (she wasn't cast as a "Juggy Girl" on The Man Show for
her oratorical skills). Nonetheless, every bit of
professional experience helped, whether it was doing
commercials for Quaker State or Midas International, or
brief appearances on Ripley's Believe It or Not or NBC's
Hang Time.
As of 2001, Michelle made the move to film work, though her
early roles were sometimes hard to spot. She added some
serious eye candy to movies like Tomcats (2001), High Crimes
(2002), Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), and A Man
Apart (2003).
She showed plenty more in a 2002 episode of the naughty,
softcore porn show Hotel Erotica. In fact, 2002 was a
generally revealing year for Michelle, who also appeared in
the June Play..boy issue as a Cyber Girl of the Week.
If 2002 was the year that got Michelle exposed, 2004 was the
year that the public finally put a name to her already-known
face. First, she scored a job as a WWE Diva, a
quasi-modeling job that demanded that she stroll around in
lingerie and tease thousands of wrestling viewers.
Additionally, she modeled for the 2005 Lingerie Bowl, which
aired on pay-per-view. While maintaining her recurring role
with the WWE, Michelle also appeared in Dodgeball (2004)
with Ben Stiller.
February 6, 2005, was the date that Candice Michelle went
from being a successful but unknown model-actress to an
in-demand beauty. On that day, a commercial for GoDaddy.com
aired during Super Bowl XXXIX. The ad featured Michelle as a
woman who suddenly experiences a "wardrobe malfunction"
while giving a testimony to Congress. The spot was so steamy
that the FOX Network pulled a second GoDaddy.com ad (also
starring Michelle) that was slated to broadcast later that
evening.
The controversial commercial did plenty for Michelle in the
way of exposure, creating as much buzz the next day as the
big game itself. In addition to interviews on FOX News and
with Howard Stern, Michelle was also cast in the 2005 film
Living the Dream.
She plans to continue her modeling and acting, and
maintaining her site, www.candicemichelle.com. |
