Biography |
Brenda Julietta Song (born March 27, 1988) is an American
actress, model, singer and producer. After appearing in
several television roles and advertisements during the late
1990s and early 2000s, and earning a Young Artist Award for
her work in The Ultimate Christmas Present, Song went on to
have a film career. Her most commercially successful films
include Leave It to Beaver (1997), Like Mike (2002), and
College Road Trip (2008).
She became known to younger audiences for starring in the
Disney Channel Original Series, The Suite Life of Zack &
Cody as the spoiled hotel heiress London Tipton. Song sang
several songs on Suite Life, and recorded for Walt Disney
Records. Song will reprise her role as London Tipton in a
Suite Life spin-off called The Suite Life on Deck.
She became an international teen idol in 2006 after she
starred in Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, which is one of the
top rated Disney Channel Original Movies, with over 5.7
million viewers on the night of its premiere. Song
co-produced the film and will star in the Wendy Wu sequel. |

(second-grade teacher) is Hmong.
She is close friends with actors Ashley Tisdale, Kellan
Rhude, Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Kristin Herrera.

She has two younger brothers, Timmy (three years younger)
and Nathan (eight years younger).

While growing up, she wanted to take ballet lessons, but her
mother refused and put her in karate lessons where although
she hated the idea of fighting, ironically she loved it so
much that she earned a black belt, and was named an
All-American Scholar in ninth grade.
Her family immigrated to America from Laos in 1976.
She began acting at the age of six. Her first television
appearance was in a Little Caesars commercial.
