Biography |
AnnaSophia Robb is an American film and television actress,
and singer. She gained prominence in 2005 with starring
roles in Because of Winn-Dixie and Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory, and subsequently starred in the 2007 film Bridge to
Terabithia and the 2009 film Race to Witch Mountain.
Robb was born in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Janet and
Dave Robb. She is named after her maternal
great-grandmother, AnnaSophie, and her paternal grandmother,
Anna Marie. She enjoys singing, snowboarding, rafting, Irish
dancing, and reading, particularly the Harry Potter series
and historical fiction.
Robb competed in dance and gymnastics for four and a half
years, but quit in order to focus on acting. She was once
homeschooled but is currently in her freshman year at
Arapahoe High School in Denver, CO and she plans to attend
college afterwards. Robb is a Christian and has said that
she is really close with her family. |

Was originally cast in the film The Ultimate Gift (2006).
Studies French.
Favourite films are The Manchurian Candidate (2004), The
Interpreter (2005), Napoleon Dynamite (2004) and the Lord of
the Rings trilogy.
Best friends with actor Josh Hutcherson.
Was named after her maternal great-grandmother, Anna Sophie,
and her paternal grandmother, Anna Marie.
Her single "Keep Your Mind Wide Open" was #90 on the
Billboard Hot 100 during the week of March 1, 2007, being
her first song to chart.
In 2005 she was the face of Trad Clothing, helping to design
and model a fashion line for girls.
Has ten cousins; eight girls and two boys.
Her favorite clothing stores are Jigsaw London, TRAD (for
which she has modeled) and Abercrombie.
